Set me up Sunday started as a way for me to make the time to think about what is going to happen in the week ahead, so that I could make the week ahead run as smoothly as possible for myself.
The idea is to spend 15 minutes with your planner to look at what is happening in the week ahead.
Some of the questions you might like to ask yourself are:
It’s also a time to think about what you can do today to set yourself up for the week ahead.
Some of the questions you might like to ask yourself are:
Every week is different – that is why it’s important to take the time to think about how you are feeling. Do you need to get a lot of the ‘to do’ list done? Or do you need to focus on making the house tidy? Or perhaps you need a week with more rest and time to recharge a bit …this might mean earlier nights, and some time to reconnect with the family etc …
Whatever you need this week – plan for it! Everything I am wanting to complete for the week has a time allocated to it.
You can do this any day of the week… it doesn’t need to be done on a Sunday. Just find one day a week that suits you to sit down and look at your week. You decide what day of the week suits you.
Think about what part of your week is tricky. What is not working for you?
If you don’t have meal plans and week after week you struggle at dinner time, and then end up spending more money on take away than you would like, or you are not eating healthy meals, perhaps you might like to meal plan and do some prep on a Sunday.
If you feel like your life doesn’t have much fun in it, or there is no time to work on your own goals, can you commit time for that during the week ahead?
During a previous Project 14, someone suggested they do a tech free Sunday – no devices and a commitment to spend time as a family. That might be an idea that resonates with you!
